Marylanders Plant TreesThe State of Maryland is partnering with businesses, communities and citizens to help fund and plant new tree cover. Maryland State agencies are working to plant one million new trees by 2011, and are asking private citizens to join by planting 50,000 trees by 2010.The goal of the program is to enhance urban and community tree canopies through a community and citizen tree planting initiative. This program provides a way to increase Preston's canopy coverage while reducing planting costs to landowners. The program offers a $25 discount coupon per tree for your tree purchases. The coupon is good for any tree worth $50 or more and can be used to purchase multiple trees (one coupon per each tree purchased). The coupon is available to landowners to lower the costs of purchasing trees at designated nurseries.
